Position Objectives
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Business Intelligence Team, with a specialised focus on forecasting & modelling. This role is critical in helping us anticipate market trends, evaluate campaign and content performance, and inform commercial strategy. You’ll play a vital role in bridging data-driven insight with robust models to support business growth, client success, and strategic innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and apply models to anticipate demand, campaign performance, and ROI across entertainment and cultural products.
- Design and evaluate data matching and identity resolution logic (deterministic and probabilistic) for linking customer and audience records across disparate data sources, working closely with Data Engineering to translate this into production pipelines.
- Apply statistical linkage and matching techniques (e.g. fuzzy matching, probabilistic record linkage, blocking strategies) to support the development of AKA's composable CDP.
- Conduct economic and commercial analysis to support pricing, distribution, audience targeting, and investment decisions and build wider media strategies.
- Build and assess Econometric Models to drive client strategy.
- Translate complex model results into actionable strategies for both internal and client-facing outputs.
- Stay abreast of current entertainment market dynamics, economic modelling approaches, and forecasting tools.
- Contribute to the creation of client reports, pitch decks, and internal innovation initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
