The Role
We're working with one of the UK's leading investment management companies, managing billions in assets with a global presence across EMEA and APAC. They foster an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and work-life balance, offering modern office spaces and hybrid work arrangements.
- Further the team's data strategy through statistical modelling and alternative data research
- Build predictive models to identify alpha signals from diverse data sources
- Develop and maintain reproducible data science processes and tools in Python and SQL
- Collaborate with investment professionals to deliver data-driven solutions
- Communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to best practices for data access, documentation, and reproducibility

What You'll Need
- At least three years of relevant experience in data science
- Strong statistics and/or machine learning background
- Highly proficient in Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib/seaborn) and SQL
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets and fundamental investing
- Experience with cloud-based data tools (ideally Azure) and large language models (LLMs)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders
