A rare chance to sit closer to the investment function at one of the most research-driven credit managers in the market.

This is not a narrowly defined role. You are working across the full data science and analytics stack, contributing directly to investment analytics, building out AI and automation for middle and back office, and supporting internal business data projects. One day you are close to the trading and investment process, the next you are solving an operational or finance analytics problem. The variety is real.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The firm itself is worth understanding. They manage over $20bn in assets and has built its reputation on a quantitative, research-heavy approach to credit and fixed income investing. It is not a traditional bond fund.

It builds its own models, runs proprietary research, and takes a genuinely entrepreneurial approach. A significant part of the business is also owned by the investment team, which says something about how the firm is run and who it attracts.

Ideally you'll have a strong academic background and around a year or two of industry experience. That experience does not have to be in asset management. Risk or model validation in banking or insurance is just as relevant.
