About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist to join our dynamic digital team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with leading analysts and data engineering experts to revolutionize how data is harnessed within the water sector and beyond. Your expertise will drive digital strategies that help clients optimize assets, plan smarter investments, and enhance environmental outcomes through advanced analytics and innovative solutions. This position offers the flexibility of working from our High Wycombe, London, or Brighton offices, with a hybrid working model that balances in-office and remote work. As a key leader in our organization, you will lead data science initiatives, develop predictive models, and build intelligent tools that foster digital transformation for our clients. Your insights will shape industry standards and contribute to the growth of our digital services portfolio.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects
- Expertise in Python programming, including data modelling, cleansing, and visualization
- Experience deploying machine learning models and solutions in cloud environments, particularly Azure
- Proficiency with DevOps principles, version control, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of the MS Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Apps
- Strong understanding of predictive analytics, optimization techniques, and automated solution development
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories with data
- Proactive problem-solving skills and innovative mindset
- Relevant academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields
- Experience working within the water or environmental sectors is desirable
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop data science initiatives to create innovative analytics solutions that support digital transformation
- Utilize predictive analytics and optimization techniques to derive actionable insights for clients
- Design and develop automated tools and models to improve operational efficiency and decision-making
- Collaborate closely with clients in the water sector to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Ensure the seamless deployment of data solutions in cloud environments, adhering to best practices
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
- Contribute to the development of technical standards, proposals, and project scoping to support business growth
- Drive innovation by integrating emerging technologies and data-driven approaches into service offerings
- Participate in client presentations, workshops, and technical discussions to showcase insights and solutions
