About the Role
This is a hands-on Data Scientist role within the Journey Insights team, focused on building and delivering data science solutions that improve understanding of customer contact journeys. Working with both structured and unstructured data, you will uncover insights and identify opportunities to enhance customer and operational outcomes.
You will combine machine learning, NLP, and Generative AI techniques to extract value from text, develop predictive and analytical models, and take ownership of deploying data science products into production.

Key Skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into clear analytical problems, developing and delivering end-to-end data science solutions that generate tangible business value
- Experience integrating structured and unstructured data sources to create meaningful features for modelling, analysis and GenAI-powered applications
- Proven track record of developing data science solutions using NLP and Generative AI techniques, including text classification, summarisation, entity extraction, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and LLM-enabled workflows
- Strong programming expertise in SQL, Python and PySpark, applying software engineering best practices such as code readability, version control, testing and reproducibility
- Experience deploying data science models and products in cloud environments, ideally Azure, including CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring
- Knowledge of database technologies, preferably including graph databases, and experience combining internal and external data sources to support analytical and modelling use cases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language and present compelling insights to diverse audiences
