We at Unique AI are building a generative AI platform that financial institutions trust with high-stakes work: finance-grade in its reliability, auditability, and security. Banks, asset managers, and hedge funds use our platform to put LLM-based agents to work inside real workflows — investment research, client advisory, risk, and compliance. We are now looking for at least 2 Data Scientists to join our London team
Roles
- Data Scientist (Core): 80% internal, 20% client facing
- Data Scientist (Forward Deployed): 80-100% client facing, 0-20% internal (where appropriate)
In both cases, we are looking for data scientists who are passionate about developing AI agents using Unique AI's SDK for the Financial Services Industry.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years of experience as a data scientist
- Hands-on experience with LLMs: including tool calling and low-level experimentation beyond frameworks, as well as prompt engineering for customer use cases
- Production GenAI delivery: demonstrated experience designing, deploying, operating, and evaluating LLM-based applications in production environments, including agentic systems with tool calling and orchestration
- Solid understanding of AI systems and their functionalities, such as deep research and other applied AI techniques, combined with strong Python coding skills to translate these concepts into production-ready workflows and maintain robust AI pipelines - ideally with experience deploying multi-agent systems
- History of successfully delivering projects for clients: translating customer requirements into tailored solutions
- Industry expertise: expertise in financial services environments (private banking, wealth/ asset management, insurance) is a plus
- Languages: English (French and/or German is a plus)
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field

Responsibilities
- Focus on building and improving vertical use cases in the financial industry, helping us unlock the full potential of GenAI for our customers.
- Work closely with our product and engineering teams to design, prototype, and develop AI Agents + systems that deliver real business impact.
- Spend time with clients (to varying degrees depending on the specific role), enabling them to maximize the value of our platform while providing hands-on support and expertise, ensuring the smooth integration and adoption of Unique's GenAI solutions while helping them build AI Agents using our SDK
