Job Title: Data Solution Architect
Location: Paddington
Duration: 6 months possible extension
Our client is leveraging the power of data and AI to solve business problems, improve customer experience, and drive commercial value. This is an architecture-led role within the Data Architecture & Design team—helping shape how data solutions are designed, governed, and made supportable across multiple business areas.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide architecture and design guidance across a portfolio of data projects, ensuring solutions align with platform strategy and future changes
- Guide functional design for data solutions (not hands-on development), producing clear design artefacts consumed by engineering teams
- Bring Personalisation into the wider Enterprise Data Science discipline by creating building blocks that move beyond one-off datasets
- Design reusable patterns within the existing cloud-hosted (Azure) data platform
- Assess impacts of internal and external change on the data estate, shaping solution options and managing trade-offs
- Support improved visibility, resilience, and governance for data pipelines used in Personalisation
- Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Data Governance, Data Analytics, Security teams, and fellow architects to influence design principles and decisions
- Help shape solution roadmaps across 3, 6, and 12-month horizons with key stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
