Data Solutions Architect – Microsoft Purview / Azure
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire – Hybrid
Salary: £70,000–£80,000 DOE
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
YourCode Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Data Solutions Architect for an established IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Leeds.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role combining Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Architecture, technical consultancy, pre-sales, and project delivery.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of customers, helping them design, implement, and improve their Microsoft data environments, with particular emphasis on data governance, security, and Microsoft Purview.
Unlike a purely strategic architecture position, this role offers genuine ownership of customer projects, from initial discovery and technical scoping through to hands-on implementation and delivery.
The role is approximately 70% customer project delivery and 30% pre-sales, technical scoping, and consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver Microsoft Purview and Azure data solutions for customers.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, customer workshops, and requirements gathering.
- Scope projects, recommend solutions, and produce technical designs.
- Take ownership of projects from initial scoping through to successful delivery.
- Implement Microsoft Purview solutions across data governance, classification, cataloguing, and lineage.
- Work directly with customers, remotely and on-site, to deliver scoped technical work.
- Support pre-sales discussions, technical proposals, and solution recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and delivery teams.
- Advise customers on Microsoft cloud technologies, data governance, and information security.
- Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical consultant.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
