Role: Product Manager – Data Solutions

Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 + Benefits
Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We are recruiting for a growing UK data software business that helps local government and social housing bodies transform fragmented data into actionable insights. Local authorities run on disparate legacy systems—from Revenues & Benefits and Social Care to Housing Management and CRM. When this data is trapped in silos, services slow down and compliance risks rise.

As Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and commercial positioning for a software portfolio focused on data quality, system integration, and performance benchmarking. This is a strategic product role focused on customer discovery and market growth rather than project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why Social Housing & Local Authority Experience Matters

The public sector faces major regulatory and operational pressure around data quality and service delivery. Your industry context gives you a distinct advantage:

  • System Understanding: Knowing how housing and council back-office software operates allows you to solve real integration pain points.
  • Procurement Insight: Familiarity with public sector buying cycles and frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud) helps structure products that are simple to adopt.
  • Real Impact: You know clean data translates directly to better community outcomes, accurate housing repairs, and protected residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and pricing across data quality, automation, and benchmarking tools.
  • Conduct discovery with local government and housing leads to validate product features.
  • Translate user needs into clear requirements and prioritise backlogs for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with sales and commercial teams on tenders, bids, and market positioning.
  • Define data visualisation standards and performance metrics for end-user dashboards.
