Role Overview

Wage
- £16,744 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
- National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices
- Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)
Hours
- Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.30pm
- Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
- 40 hours 15 minutes a week

Job Responsibilities
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What You'll Do at Work
Apprentice responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the payroll team
- Invoicing clients
- Pension reconciliations
- Weekly margin reports for clients
- Collating, formatting, and analyzing data
The duties of a Data Technician include:
- Providing office support to both employees and customers
- Keeping company data updated
- Interacting with clients to build good relationships
This may include:
- Answering phone calls
- Following up on client and employee queries
- Preparing plans to help streamline and improve business operations
- Weekly Margin Reporting to Clients
- Submitting data to HMRC on a monthly basis
- Pension Reconciliations
- Administrative tasks
- Timesheet Entry
- Raising invoices to clients
- Issuing Employment Contracts
- Obtaining Right to Work checks
- Processing Payroll

What You'll Learn
Course contents include:
- Selecting and migrating data from already identified sources
- Formatting and saving datasets
- Summarising, analyzing, and explaining gathered data
- Combining data sets from multiple sources and presenting in format appropriate to the task
- Using tools and/or applying basic statistical methods to identify trends and patterns in data
- Identifying faults and cleansing data to improve data quality
- Auditing data results for maintenance of data quality
- Demonstrating the different ways of communicating meaning from data in line with audience requirements
- Producing clear and consistent documentation of the data provided to others and of actions completed
- Storing, managing, and distributing data in compliance with organisational, national, sector-specific standards and/or legislation
- Considering sustainability and ways to reduce impact
- Parsing data against standard formats
- Testing and assessing confidence in the data and its integrity
- Operating collaboratively in a working context that accounts for, and takes advantage of, the roles, skills, and activities of others
- Prioritising own activities within the context of the duties to be performed
- Following equity, diversity, and inclusion policies in the organisation for a common goal
- Demonstrating the ability to use different tools and methods to formulate and utilise effective prompts to research, apply, and evaluate data transformation techniques

Training Schedule
BPP apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry-experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help, and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE in:
- 5 GCSEs including English and maths (grade A*-C)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
