The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Data Test Manager / Portfolio QA Lead to join a major data delivery programme. This is a strategic quality assurance role responsible for driving test governance, quality standards, and delivery assurance across a portfolio of large-scale data and analytics projects.
Working closely with Engagement Managers, Technical Leads, delivery teams, and key stakeholders, you will ensure testing best practices are consistently applied throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide test governance and quality assurance across multiple projects and portfolios.
- Review and assure Test Strategies and Test Completion Reports.
- Monitor quality trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide assurance, updates, and escalation management to key stakeholders.
- Support Project QA Leads and QA Engineers with guidance and best practice.
- Produce Test Strategies for large, complex, and high-risk deliveries.
- Review project scope, testing impacts, risks, and delivery approaches.
- Lead QA recruitment activities and support capability development across the testing community.
- Contribute to resource planning, forecasting, and allocation of QA resources.
- Manage risks, issues, and quality concerns across the portfolio.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Test Manager, QA Lead, or Portfolio Test Lead.
- Experience working with Teal
- Strong background in test governance, assurance, and quality management.
- Experience reviewing and producing Test Strategies and Test Completion Reports.
- Ability to oversee testing across multiple projects and delivery teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing QA teams.
- Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance frameworks, and testing best practices.
- Active SC Clearance.

- Data warehouse, analytics, or data transformation programme experience.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise or public sector environments.
- Agile delivery experience.
- Resource forecasting and portfolio-level planning experience.
