Data & Analytics Team
3 days a week in the office, Leeds, Liverpool or Dunfermline
£35,000 to £42,000, depending on experience
Velstar is a full-service eCommerce agency working across DTC and B2B. We build on Shopify Plus, and on our own proprietary platform, for complex B2B requirements that need greater scale, reliability and compliance. Our Data & Analytics team is growing, and we're hiring a Tracking & Reporting Analyst to build out the tracking, reporting and data work our clients rely on to trade properly. Live client accounts, live budgets, live deadlines, not a training sandbox.
What you'll own
- Implementing and auditing GA4 and Google Tag Manager setups, including consent configuration, event tracking and custom dataLayer events
- Setting up and validating performance marketing conversion tracking across Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and LinkedIn Ads
- Maintaining server-side tracking, including tools like Stape, and migrations from client-side setups
- Diagnosing tracking discrepancies and data quality issues using live GA4 and GTM data
- Building client-facing reports and dashboards, using tools like Looker Studio, and AI tools such as Claude to speed up analysis
- Picking up ad-hoc tickets and one-off projects across our client base

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
How you'll grow
- Direct access to our Head of Data & Analytics for the calls that actually matter, not layers of process to wade through
- Autonomy that scales with what you can already do, not a fixed review timeline
- Exposure across DTC and B2B, Shopify, custom and headless builds, so your experience broadens rather than narrows
- Client-facing from day one, sitting in scoping and delivery calls as the technical authority in the room
You'll be a good fit if
- You understand how eCommerce sites work commercially, product pages, checkout, conversion funnels, not just marketing analytics in the abstract
- You can commit to 3 days a week in our Leeds, Liverpool or Dunfermline office
- You communicate clearly, with technical and non-technical people alike
- You can plan and prioritise your own workload without being told what's next
- You follow things through to completion, not just the interesting bits
- You keep a level head under pressure, calm and considered rather than rattled, whether that's a broken pipeline or a client on the phone
- You've worked in, or genuinely want, a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, not a quiet one
