Data Transformation & Delivery Lead
outside IR35
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Location: ad hoc travel to Hampshire
Rate: DoE, OUTSIDE IR35
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Transformation & Delivery Lead to lead the delivery of complex data capabilities within a major, multi-year transformation programme.
This is a senior delivery role requiring a proven track record of personally leading large-scale data transformation and migration, across data engineering, MDM, governance, testing, operational readiness, and supplier delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data delivery from business requirements through design, engineering, migration, testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
- Lead complex data transformation and large-scale migration from fragmented and legacy estates to integrated data platforms.
- Drive delivery of Single Customer View / Customer 360 / Golden Record / MDM capabilities.
- Manage dependencies across business functions, technology programmes, and external suppliers.
- Translate functional requirements into executable data delivery plans and ensure data requirements are embedded in design and engineering.
- Lead multi-supplier delivery, holding partners accountable for milestones, outcomes, and contractual commitments.
- Define resource and capability requirements and address capacity gaps.
- Establish integrated plans, governance, risks, dependencies, and delivery controls.
- Ensure data governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements are embedded throughout delivery.
- Provide clear reporting and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders and executives.

Essential Experience
- Proven leadership of large-scale data transformation programmes.
- Direct accountability for data delivery outcomes rather than predominantly advisory/architecture experience.
- Strong experience in data migration, MDM, Customer 360 / Golden Record, and data integration.
- Experience working across business, architecture, engineering, testing, and operations.
- Strong multi-supplier / SI delivery experience.
- Experience managing resources, suppliers, SOWs, commitments, and delivery performance.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience delivering across multiple countries or regions.
- Excellent senior stakeholder and executive communication skills.

You do not need to be a hands-on architect, but must have sufficient technical depth to challenge architecture, engineering approaches, estimates, and delivery plans.
Ideal Profile
A credible, hands-on data transformation delivery leader who can take control of complex and ambiguous situations, create clarity across multiple teams and suppliers, manage critical paths and dependencies, and confidently engage at executive level.
