About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of our database systems, ensuring they operate efficiently, securely, and reliably. This role involves a comprehensive range of duties including database management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, upgrades, patch management, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with PostgreSQL databases, complemented by additional knowledge of Oracle databases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, leveraging your technical expertise to support the organization's data infrastructure and contribute to its ongoing success.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a solid background in database administration with the following qualifications:
- Advanced skills and extensive experience with PostgreSQL databases
- Additional experience or knowledge in Oracle databases
- Proven expertise in database management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, upgrades, and patch management
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Relevant certifications (such as PostgreSQL or Oracle certifications) are a plus but not essential
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities associated with this role include:
- Designing and implementing robust database solutions that meet organizational requirements
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing systems for efficiency
- Managing database backups, recovery procedures, and ensuring data integrity
- Performing regular upgrades and applying patches to maintain system security and performance
- Identifying and troubleshooting database-related issues promptly
- Collaborating with development and IT teams to support application integration and deployment
- Developing and maintaining documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and policies
- Ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices in data management
