SQL Database Administrator

Inside IR35 Contract
We're partnering with a well-established financial services group to find SQL Server DBA's to join their growing IT function.
You'll take ownership of the SQL Server estate installation, configuration, security, performance, and resilience, and help shape best practice across the wider business.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage, monitor, and administer SQL Server across the estate
- Own backup, recovery, and disaster recovery policy
- Apply patches, manage security, and maintain compliance standards
- Tune performance through optimization, indexing, and archiving
- Support scalability planning for a growing data estate
- Act as SME at Technical Design Authority and in low-level design of new solutions
- Be the go-to for troubleshooting and technical support across Dev/IT teams
- Work in an Agile framework, contributing to continuous improvement as well as project delivery

What we're looking for:


Get help with your application

- 3+ years in a similar role within a blue-chip/enterprise environment
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration background
- Experience with enterprise backup & recovery, resilience, and system monitoring tools
- Comfortable working in a regulated industry (FCA/PRA experience a plus)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum and DevOps/DevSecOps environments
- A confident communicator who can work across technical and business teams
