About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our production databases and cloud-based data infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the stability, performance, and security of our multi-product software ecosystem, enabling seamless data flow and reliable operations across various platforms. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence our data architecture, contribute to strategic initiatives, and support the company's growth by ensuring our data systems are scalable, resilient, and aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing production MySQL and SQL Server database environments with a strong track record of performance tuning and optimization.
- Deep understanding of database security protocols, disaster recovery strategies, and schema deployment using version control tools.
- Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform, including managed database services.
- Proficiency in writing, reviewing, and optimizing complex SQL queries to enhance system efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience setting up automated health checks, monitoring tools, and capacity planning processes.
- Knowledge of modern database management practices, including role-based access control, encryption, and patch management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize core software platforms by ensuring their smooth, secure, and efficient operation.
- Ensure reliable data flow across multiple products while safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining business continuity.
- Monitor, maintain, and fine-tune production databases, including query performance, indexing, and system configurations to improve overall efficiency.
- Design and implement integrated data solutions that unify information across platforms, facilitating comprehensive reporting and business intelligence.
- Enforce strict security measures such as role-based access controls, encryption, auditing, and timely patch management to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop, test, and maintain geo-redundant backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Manage controlled database releases, working closely with development teams and adhering to version control processes.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior leadership to align database architecture with product roadmaps and technical standards.
- Establish proactive monitoring and alerting systems to manage capacity and performance, providing support during planned maintenance or critical incidents as required.
