About the Role

We're working with a growing technology business that develops warehouse management and automation solutions for customers across the logistics sector.

As part of an ongoing platform modernisation programme, the organisation is evolving towards a PostgreSQL-led environment while continuing to support a number of Oracle databases. They're looking for a Database Administrator to join the Systems team and play a key role in both day-to-day database operations and longer-term platform improvements.

This is a varied role offering a mix of BAU support, performance optimisation, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects. You'll have the opportunity to influence database strategy while working with modern engineering and DevOps practices.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise database performance
  • Design and maintain high availability, replication, backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Perform database upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activities
  • Support database migration and platform modernisation initiatives
  • Maintain database security, access controls and compliance standards
  • Investigate and resolve production issues in business-critical environments
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure and support teams to deliver technical improvements
  • Contribute to automation, CI/CD and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
