We are looking for an experienced Maximo Database Administrator to support a technical IBM Maximo upgrade and database migration programme. The project involves upgrading Maximo 7.6 on Oracle to MAS 9.x on DB2, with the target environment hosted in Azure Cloud.

π§ Key Responsibilities
- Oracle-to-DB2 database migration expertise
- DB2 administration, configuration, and performance tuning
- Backup and recovery planning
- Performance optimisation for IBM MAS
- Database security and compliance
- Refactoring PL/SQL stored procedures for DB2
- Installation and configuration of DB2 environments
- Support technical remediation required during the Maximo/MAS upgrade
- Perform a technical like-for-like migration while addressing upgrade-related changes
π― Project Overview
This is a technically focused Maximo Upgrade + Migration (Lift & Shift) programme. The existing Maximo 7.6 Oracle environment will be migrated to MAS 9.x with DB2 on Azure Cloud. The successful candidate will contribute to database migration, upgrade remediation, DB2 configuration, optimisation, and operational readiness.

- British National only
- Dual nationality will be considered on an individual case basis
- SC Clearance is essential or candidate must be able to achieve it
- Minimum 5 years of continuous UK residency required
- BPSS is a standard Rolls-Royce requirement
π Interview Process
IBM will conduct the interviews. Normally one interview should be sufficient, unless a further technical deep dive is required by the Practice Leaders.
