About The Role
As a Database Manager at R3vamp Limited, you will assume a pivotal role in supporting alumni engagement and fundraising initiatives through expert management of high-quality data, systems, and insights. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and maintain the organization’s core fundraising and alumni database, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards. You will serve as a key point of contact for end-to-end database support across various departments, including system configuration, data quality assurance, reporting, and user support. Your expertise will enable teams to make data-informed decisions and optimize fundraising efforts.
In addition, you will act as a subject-matter expert, providing training, guidance, and support to colleagues on database functionalities and best practices. You will also play an active role in identifying opportunities for system enhancements and implementing improvements to streamline processes and enhance data usability. Your insights will directly contribute to the organization’s strategic objectives by ensuring the database infrastructure supports growth and innovation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience working with relational databases, preferably within CRM, fundraising, or similar environments. Familiarity with systems such as Raiser's Edge or comparable platforms is highly advantageous. Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to produce clear, accurate reports and conduct ad hoc data analysis. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively deliver training and guidance to diverse user groups.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and analysis, is required. Knowledge of query tools such as SQL is desirable, as it will support your ability to manage complex data tasks. You must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information. The role requires a proactive, autonomous working style with the capacity to prioritize competing demands and resolve complex data issues. A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues across departments are vital for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization’s core fundraising and alumni database, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
- Configure and optimize database systems to support organizational needs, including system upgrades and customizations.
- Develop and generate comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide end-to-end user support, including training sessions, user guides, and ongoing assistance to maximize database utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and lead initiatives to implement new functionalities or enhance existing features.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality in line with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, conducting regular audits and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Support fundraising and alumni engagement activities through effective data management and targeted communication strategies.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends to continually improve database operations and data governance.
