About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Manager to join our team at R3vamp Limited in London. This is a hybrid role that offers a unique opportunity to support alumni engagement and fundraising activities through expert management of our core databases and systems. As a Database Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring our data is accurate, well-governed, and accessible to facilitate strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Your expertise will enable various teams within the organization to make data-informed choices, optimize fundraising efforts, and enhance alumni relations.

The role involves overseeing the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of our fundraising and alumni databases, providing comprehensive end-to-end support, and acting as a subject-matter expert for database-related matters. You will collaborate closely with different departments, delivering training, guidance, and support to maximize the effective use of our systems. Additionally, your insights will contribute to identifying system improvements, supporting upgrades, and implementing best practices to ensure our data infrastructure remains robust and future-proof.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with relational databases, particularly within CRM, fundraising, or similar environments. Familiarity with systems such as Raiser's Edge is highly desirable. You should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate reports and conduct ad hoc data analysis confidently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for delivering training and guidance to a diverse user base. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with knowledge of query tools such as SQL being an advantage. A keen eye for detail, especially when handling sensitive and confidential information, is critical. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and resolve complex data issues effectively. A collaborative and customer-focused mindset is vital for building strong relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s core fundraising and alumni databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
  • Configure and optimize database systems to meet organizational needs, supporting system upgrades and implementing improvements.
  • Provide end-to-end database support, including data entry, data cleansing, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate and analyze reports to support fundraising and alumni engagement strategies, presenting insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • Deliver training sessions and ongoing support to staff and volunteers on database usage, best practices, and system functionalities.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to identify system enhancements and ensure seamless integration with other platforms.
  • Monitor data quality and implement quality assurance processes to uphold high standards of data governance.
  • Support the development and implementation of data policies and procedures in line with organizational and legal requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to recommend innovative solutions for database management.
