Databricks Consultant / Data Engineer | 12 month FTC | Lakehouse | Cloud | CI/CD | Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham or London | £65,000

I'm currently partnering with a growing technology consultancy that is making a significant investment in building a dedicated Databricks capability. This is an excellent opportunity for a Databricks professional who wants to move further into consulting, work on high-impact projects, and play a key role in shaping a new practice from the ground up. This will be a 12 month fixed term contract with the aim of moving to a perm contract.

The Opportunity

A 12 month FTC - Joining a highly regarded consultancy that delivers complex digital and data transformation programmes, you'll work closely with clients to design, build and optimise modern data platforms using Databricks and cloud-native technologies. The organisation has a strong presence across the public sector and is committed to developing long-term expertise within the Databricks ecosystem.

This is more than a standard engineering role. You'll have the opportunity to influence delivery standards, contribute to reusable frameworks and accelerators, and help shape the future direction of a growing Databricks practice.

What You'll Be Doing

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
