Data Centre Analyst – Active SC Eligible/Cleared

Location: Wokingham, UK

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 Days per Week in Office + Ad hoc travel to other location

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £340 – £355 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Are you an experienced Data Centre Analyst with an active SC clearance or eligibility and a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and Data Centre operations? We're looking for a skilled professional to support Data Centre activities across multiple UK locations, working closely with infrastructure, network, operational, and supplier teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the safe and reliable operation of the Data Centre estate
  • Coordinate and support Data Centre consolidation, migration, and infrastructure activities
  • Work with technical teams to understand compute, storage, network, applications, and service dependencies
  • Review and validate Data Centre inventory, assets, infrastructure, and dependencies
  • Coordinate activities across Data Centre, Infrastructure, Network, and supplier teams
  • Support project planning, scheduling, milestones, and delivery tracking
  • Maintain risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and actions
  • Support technical change management and implementation activities
  • Ensure changes impacting service availability, resilience, or redundancy are properly assessed and documented
  • Produce progress updates, reports, dashboards, and governance information
  • Work with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure activities are aligned and delivered within agreed timelines
  • Support Data Centre resilience and service continuity improvements
  • Escalate risks, issues, and delivery blockers proactively

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a Data Centre Analyst, Data Centre Project, Infrastructure, or IT Delivery role
  • Strong understanding of Data Centre environments and IT infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of compute, storage, networking, and infrastructure dependencies
  • Experience supporting Data Centre consolidation, migration, relocation, or transformation
  • Strong coordination skills across technical and supplier teams
  • Experience with project governance, RAID management, reporting, and action tracking
  • Understanding of IT change and service management processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Active SC clearance or ability to obtain/maintain SC clearance
  • Own vehicle and willingness to travel at short notice to Wokingham, Warwick, Corsham, Farnborough, and Reading

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Data Centre facilities management, including power, cooling, and building management systems
  • Experience within government, defence, telecommunications, or other highly regulated environments
  • ITIL or similar service management experience
  • Experience working with Data Centre suppliers and third-party service providers
  • Knowledge of resilience, redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure transformation programmes
