Role: Data Centre Analyst (Active SC Eligible/Cleared)
Location: Primary location Wokingham, essential weekly travel to other locations including Warwick, Corsham, Farnborough, and Reading with short notice.
Duration: 6 Months
Work Mode: Hybrid - 3 days mandatory & willing to travel with short notice on remaining 2 working days.
Pay: 330 GBP per day (Inside IR 35)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Delivery Lead to lead and coordinate a large-scale Data Centre (DC) Consolidation Programme. This role will be responsible for reviewing and validating complete Data Centre inventories, coordinating technical workstreams, and managing delivery across multiple technical and supplier teams.
The successful candidate will bring strong Data Centre infrastructure experience combined with exceptional governance, planning, stakeholder management, and delivery coordination skills. This role requires a highly organized individual capable of managing multiple concurrent activities while ensuring risks, dependencies, and service impacts are effectively controlled.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the data center estate to protect housed services.
- Project Delivery & Coordination
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Data Centre consolidation activities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate activities across Data Centre, Network, Infrastructure, and Supplier teams.
- Manage work allocation and ensure tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed within agreed timelines.
- Drive progress through regular project governance forums and status meetings.
- Coordinate the review and validation of Data Centre inventory, assets, and dependencies.
- Work with technical teams to understand infrastructure, applications, services, and network connectivity.
- Support the planning and execution of consolidation, migration, and resilience improvement activities.
- Track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.
- Produce executive-level progress reports, dashboards, and status updates.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and technical teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Escalate delivery risks and blockers proactively.
- Change & Service Management
- Coordinate technical changes that may impact service resilience, redundancy, or availability.
- Ensure all activities are properly assessed, documented, approved, and communicated.
- Support change management and implementation governance processes.
- Minimize business and operational disruption during transition activities.

- Must have own vehicle and be able to travel to 5 locations at short notice.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Lead, or Programme Delivery Manager.
- Strong experience delivering Data Centre consolidation, migration, relocation, or infrastructure transformation projects.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple technical and supplier teams simultaneously.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and resource coordination skills.
- Strong project governance, RAID management, and reporting experience.
- Experience managing infrastructure, network, and operational stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing technical changes with service impact considerations.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- The analyst must draw upon experience and technical acumen to guide and support all stakeholders interfacing with the Data Centers.
- A strong grasp of both IT infrastructure (compute, storage, network) and facilities management (power, cooling, building management) is essential.
