Senior Data Centre Technician - AI / GPU Infrastructure
Location: Newcastle, United Kingdom
I’m supporting a fast-growing European AI cloud company that is building large-scale, GPU-accelerated infrastructure for AI training, experimentation, and deployment.
They are looking for a Senior Data Centre Technician to take ownership of day-to-day operations at their Newcastle site. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how a data centre runs in practice - from server and network hardware through to power, cooling, environmental monitoring, installations, incident response, and future site upgrades.

The role will involve installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and other data centre hardware, with a particular focus on high-density GPU infrastructure. You will also help plan and execute new installations, upgrades, data hall expansions, and build-out projects as the site continues to scale.
They are looking for someone with 3–5+ years’ progressive experience in data centre operations or IT infrastructure, ideally with direct hands-on exposure to NVIDIA GPU servers across Ampere, Hopper, or Blackwell generations.
This would suit someone who is confident operating independently, comfortable making decisions onsite, and able to act as the technical lead when required. You will work closely with network engineers, system administrators, remote hands teams, and data centre leadership, while also supporting and mentoring more junior technicians as the team grows.

Experience with liquid cooling, large cluster deployments, data hall openings, or high-density AI/HPC environments would be a strong advantage.
