Job Title: Dataverse Solution Architect / SME

The Dataverse Solution Architect / SME will provide technical leadership for Dataverse adoption across this government client. Working closely with product teams, solution architects, developers and business stakeholders, the role holder will ensure that Dataverse is implemented in accordance with best practice, governance requirements and architectural principles.
The role will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching developers, establishing reusable patterns and standards, and providing hands-on support to the delivery team through discovery, design, build and deployment phases.
- Lead the technical design, configuration and implementation of Dataverse.
- Establish Dataverse architecture principles, governance standards and development patterns.
- Define security models, data structures, environments, solution deployment approaches and operational support arrangements.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for the project, ensuring delivery aligns with platform standards and best practice.
- Work with solution architects, product managers and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Dataverse solutions.
- Design logical and physical data models to support application development and reporting requirements.
- Support integration between Dataverse and other platforms including Power Platform, Azure services, Microsoft 365 and line-of-business systems.
- Establish reusable solution templates, components and development standards to accelerate future delivery.
- Coach, mentor and upskill developers in Dataverse architecture, development practices and platform administration.
- Develop training materials, guidance and communities of practice to embed knowledge.
- Support assurance reviews and provide expert advice on platform design decisions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies and constraints and provide mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the wider data and digital strategy by promoting effective use of low-code technologies and enterprise platform capabilities.

- Demonstrable experience leading enterprise Dataverse implementations.
- Significant hands-on experience designing and configuring Microsoft Dataverse solutions.
- Strong understanding of Power Platform architecture, security and governance.
- Proven ability to guide development teams and establish technical standards.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience integrating Dataverse with Microsoft 365, Azure services and external systems.
Desirable
- Experience developing training materials and mentoring internal teams.
- Experience within UK Government, regulatory or public sector organisations.
- Experience establishing Centres of Excellence for Power Platform.
- Power Platform and Azure certifications.
