DEVELOPMENT DETAILS
You’ll be the welcoming face of a modern community of 276 homes in Hornsey, where residents enjoy on-site amenities including a well-equipped gym, a comfortable lounge and secure parking. With both Hornsey National Rail and Turnpike Lane Underground close by, you’ll work in a lively, well-connected setting with a steady flow of residents, visitors and contractors throughout the day. This is a contemporary environment where great service, attention to detail and calm problem solving make a visible difference to daily life.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will deliver a warm, professional front-of-house service, greeting residents and visitors, handling enquiries and coordinating access and deliveries. You’ll keep shared areas presentable, oversee day-to-day safety and security, and liaise with contractors and the managing agent to resolve issues promptly. Your focus will be on creating a consistently positive resident experience.
What Success Looks Like
- Residents feel known, supported and confident that their requests are handled quickly and courteously.
- Reception, lobby and amenity spaces are immaculate, welcoming and operating smoothly throughout your shift.
- Access control, key handling and visitor management are consistently accurate and compliant.
- Issues are identified early, logged clearly and escalated or resolved within agreed timeframes.
- Contractor visits are coordinated efficiently with minimal disruption to residents.
- Clear, timely communication keeps residents and the management team informed.

How You'll Spend Most Of Your Time
- Greeting residents and visitors, answering questions and managing enquiries by phone and email.
- Monitoring CCTV, managing access control and maintaining accurate key and parcel logs.
- Conducting regular patrols and checks of communal areas, reporting and following up on defects.
- Coordinating contractor attendance and ensuring permits, RAMS and sign-in procedures are followed.
- Keeping the lobby and amenity spaces tidy, safe and presentable throughout the day.
- Maintaining clear records, handover notes and communication with colleagues and the management team.
Who This Role Is For
- You bring a naturally helpful, people-first approach and enjoy building rapport with a diverse community.
- You stay calm under pressure and use sound judgement to prioritise and solve problems.
- You take pride in presentation, standards and attention to detail.
- You communicate clearly and professionally, both face-to-face and in writing.
- You’re reliable, punctual and comfortable working a 4 on, 4 off day shift pattern.
Experience That Helps
- Front-of-house, hospitality, retail or customer service experience in a high-service environment.
- Experience in residential buildings, hotels, corporate reception or facilities settings.
- Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV and key/parcel management.
- Confidence coordinating contractors and understanding basic health and safety procedures.
- Comfortable using email, calendars and property or facilities software to keep accurate records.
