Security Officer — Fixed Friday to Sunday Shifts
Location: East Cranmore, Shepton Mallet, BA4 4SQ
Pay rate: £13.29 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift pattern: Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Shift times: 5:00am–5:00pm
Days off: Monday to Thursday

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at a rural industrial site near Shepton Mallet.
This is a permanent, structured role working three consecutive 12-hour day shifts every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, followed by four days off each week.
You will provide a visible and reassuring security presence, protect the site, manage access and respond appropriately to security or operational incidents.
The position may suit candidates living in or around Shepton Mallet, Frome, Cranmore, Doulting, Evercreech, Wells, Castle Cary or Bruton.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles
- Conduct scheduled internal and external security patrols
- Monitor the premises and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports and handover records
- Manage keys and other site security equipment
- Follow Assignment Instructions and site procedures
- Liaise professionally with the client, employees and contractors
- Provide a helpful and professional first point of contact

Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence
- Reliable, punctual and able to work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Professional, observant and proactive approach
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic IT skills for electronic reporting systems
- Ability to work independently and follow site procedures
- Right to work in the UK

Travel Requirements
Due to the rural location and the 5:00am shift start, public transport is limited.
Applicants must:
- Hold a full driving licence
- Have reliable access to their own vehicle
- Be able to travel consistently to BA4 4SQ for a 5:00am start
