Overview

London Borough of Harrow is looking for a Day Service Officer to work at the Kenmore Sensory Complex Needs hub to help meet the individual needs and aspirations of people with learning disabilities and complex and sensory needs.

The post holder will meet citizens' physical, behavioural, and emotional needs while respecting their rights and choices as individuals. In addition, the post holder will research and organise appropriate community integration whilst ensuring adherence to health and safety responsibilities, participating in risk assessments for community activities (including equipment), transport, and access/egress compliant with DDA.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Experience of working with challenging behaviour and or complex needs
  • Experience of moving and handling people
  • Physical ability to complete moving and handling duties
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
