Pay: £13.15 per hour, INCREASE to £13.45 after 3 months
Hours: Full time, 42 hours per week
Shift: 12-hour day shifts

About Broughton House
Broughton House is a 29-bed specialist residential service for adults with severe learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge. The team provides a safe, comfortable, and effective care environment, promotes independence, and supports community integration.
Your day-to-day
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support using a flexible learning approach
- Offer practical guidance, encouragement, physical support, and emotional reassurance
- Learn each person’s individual needs, preferences, and goals, then support them in the most appropriate way
- Assist with medical and welfare needs and report concerns accurately
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and community participation
- Follow safeguarding procedures and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, reliable care

You do not need to fit one particular career mould. You may already be a Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Residential Support Worker, Autism Support Worker, or Learning Disability Support Worker. You may also bring transferable experience from customer service, education, hospitality, community work, or another role where patience, communication, and responsibility matter.
Hours and shift pattern
42 hours per week, working 12-hour day shifts from 7:45am to 7:45pm on a rolling two-week rota:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday
Travel, Eligibility, and Checks
- Broughton House is in a location with limited public transport. Applicants must be drivers or have their own reliable means of transport.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check.
