Day Support Worker

£12.84 per hour, 23 hours per week

About The Role

We have a 23 hour per week contract available for a Day Support Worker in our beautifully kept day service for older people living with dementia.

Week 1, 4 days, 12.30pm – 5.30pm.

Week 2, 5 days, Various shifts between 9am – 5.30pm

No weekend, evenings, or bank holidays.

At the Kimbrose Club we specialise in supporting older people, living with dementia, to live fulfilled life within their communities, by providing a wide variety of activities, keeping minds activity, and engaged, reducing anxiety, loneliness, and isolation.

Main Responsibilities

You will support the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our club members by:

  • Assisting club members with personal care
  • Providing physical and mental stimulation by facilitating and taking part in recreational activities with club members
  • Monitoring club members wellbeing and health and maintaining care plans.
  • Administering medication.
  • Assisting with appropriate levels of fluid and nutritional intake.
  • Generally promoting our club members’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Providing cover for the Kitchen Assistant when they are on leave.
  • Act as a driver, escort when necessary.
  • Delivering the very best standards of personal care, activities, and recording all actions.
