Job Description

Location: Alton
Hours: 1pm to 9pm
Salary: £744 a week plus double pay on Bank holiday

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable daytime carer with driving skills to support a vibrant 86-year-old lady who lives with her husband in their spacious home with a stable.

About the Role:

You will provide meaningful companionship, practical support, and safe transport, including:

  • Driving her to daily outings, and other appointments
  • Accompanying her on daily walks (approx. 2 miles)
  • Engagement with animals and trips to see horses
  • Meal preparation and encouragement to maintain a healthy diet
  • Sharing her love of music
  • Assisting with bathing once or twice a week, while respecting her independence in personal care
  • Supporting her during moments of mild confusion related to her dementia

Training & Development

All new Care Assistants complete 2 days of training to prepare for their role, followed by ongoing support and development. You’ll also receive specialist training, including dementia care, to help you grow and deliver the highest quality care.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Compassionate, patient, and reassuring
  • Energetic and able to join for walks and outings
  • Experienced with dementia care
  • Confident driver with a clean driving record
  • Loves animals and can provide gentle guidance
  • Encourages healthy eating habits and enjoys mealtime companionship
  • Comfortable providing light personal care
