About the Company
We're looking for a SQL Server Production DBA to join our client's corporate team.
About the Role
Work with a small supportive team of experienced DBAs who will be on hand to provide production level DBA support and share technical capability. The client works in both on-prem and cloud environments and is a big fan of Microsoft (SQL Server, Azure,.NET).
This role has zero requirement for shifts, or rotas. Some occasional out of hours deployments may be required in this role.
Essential skills for the role:
- SQL Server DBA
- SSIS
- Powershell
- Track record of engaging in Production DBA support
- Experience of both on-premise and cloud (Azure) SQL Server Support
- Comfortable multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities
- Good communication skills
- Incident, change and problem management experience
- Azure experience critical for this role

Responsibilities
Varied and include monitoring live databases, assisting the development teams with deployments into production environments, optimising SQL code.
Nice to haves include:
- Experience working with ServiceNow

Over a 1 year contract, there is an expectation that you may be needed at the client offices up to 10 times in that year. Travel & expenses to the client’s South East location are not covered in addition to the day rate, so this needs to be budgeted for by the contractor.
