Location: Swindon or Melksham

Contract: Permanent, open to full time or part time

We are seeking passionate Detectives to join our esteemed Child Abuse Investigation Team. If you are a tenacious, compassionate, and driven Detective with a strong sense of justice, we want to hear from you! Join our Child Abuse Investigation Team and help us create a safer and brighter future for our children.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and sensitive investigations into cases involving inter-familial and position of trust child abuse, where the child is under 18 at the time of reporting.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies including social workers, medical staff, and legal professionals, to secure the best outcome for the child.
  • Consider and apply Achieving Best Evidence for interviews of victims and witnesses.
  • Conduct challenging and considered interviews with suspects.
  • Remain current with developments in child protection to ensure the best service is offered.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Accredited Detective Constable – PIP2 qualified.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and distressing situations with empathy and professionalism.
