The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Defined Contribution pensions professional to join a well-established occupational pension scheme as a DC Operations Manager.
This is a broad and varied role with responsibility for supporting the effective operational delivery of the organisation's DC pension provision. Working closely with an outsourced DC administration provider, you will help ensure administration services are delivered accurately, efficiently and in accordance with agreed service standards, regulatory requirements and member expectations.
This isn't a traditional hands-on pensions administration position. Instead, you'll operate at an oversight and management level, taking responsibility for service delivery, complex operational issues, administration errors and remediation, provider relationships, controls, projects and continuous improvement.
You'll report to the Senior Operations Manager and work closely with colleagues across the wider pensions operation, while also managing and developing members of the internal team.
For someone with a strong background in DC pensions administration, operations, client/service delivery or provider management, this is an excellent opportunity to move into a broader role with significant responsibility and exposure across the organisation.
The Role
As DC Operations Manager, you'll take responsibility for the effective day-to-day operational management of the DC provision and work closely with the outsourced administration provider to ensure members receive a consistently high-quality service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
