Location: Belfast, as part of our hybrid working model.

Grade: Senior Associate

Contract type: Perm

A Snapshot Of Your Peer Group

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a M&A / FP&A environment / Consolidation Accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets efficiently
  • Experience in using one or all of: Alteryx, Power Query, Power BI, Tableau
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1)
  • Professionally qualified accountant or holder of a recognised financial qualification preferred (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, drive and enthusiasm are a pre-requisite for this role

Your Responsibilities and Achievements

Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:

  • Work with our financial due diligence and commercial strategy teams to provide deep business analytics, develop insightful analysis and integrate findings into project-based product deliverables.
  • Involvement in projects to retrieve, prepare, and process data from a variety of sources including transaction databases and operational data.
  • Designing and building efficient data analytics solutions and models, reports and dashboards based on business requirements
  • Client facing interaction with senior decision-making executives on a day-to-day basis
  • Lead delivery of projects including financial analysis and report writing
  • Presentation of findings and recommendations to clients
  • Providing support to the wider management group within Transaction Services
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our own service delivery and practice

Your Team

KPMG Transactions Services is the leading firm in Ireland in assisting clients in areas including financial, tax and commercial due diligence, pre and post deal evaluation, sell-side assistance, financing and refinancing assistance, contractual discussions and integration. We assist our clients with capital markets transactions including initial public offerings, class 1 transactions, reverse takeovers and fundraisings.

We work on project-type engagements lasting from several weeks to several months, working extensively with significant corporates, domestic and international banks, other financial institutions, private equity and other investment funds offering team members the widest exposure to acquisition and financing related activity.
