Description and Requirements

Join Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group (SSG) and play a key leadership role in driving the successful execution of complex services opportunities across the region. As the Deal Desk Manager, you will lead a team responsible for bid governance, deal assurance, resource orchestration, and continuous improvement initiatives that help accelerate deal success and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. You will work closely with Sales, Services, Commercial, and Delivery teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals for strategic opportunities.

In this role, you will report directly to the Director, Deal Desk and will be responsible for building a high-performing team, optimizing deal management processes, and driving operational excellence across the bid lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced bid leader who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and is passionate about enabling business growth through structured deal governance and execution excellence.

What You Will Do

Deal Desk Orchestration

  • Lead the qualification and prioritization of complex services opportunities, ensuring resources are focused on the highest-impact deals.
  • Drive deal governance and commercial assurance activities, coordinating reviews, approvals, and compliance requirements throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Manage a regional portfolio of bids, monitoring deal progression, mitigating risks, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring opportunities remain on track.
  • Continuously enhance Deal Desk playbooks, content libraries, and best practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across the organization.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing Deal Desk team, providing clear direction, ongoing feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balance workloads, and monitor performance to ensure the successful delivery of complex and customized client proposals.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture that promotes knowledge sharing, open communication, and effective problem solving.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing key performance metrics, gathering stakeholder feedback, identifying automation opportunities, and maintaining a centralized repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent qualification is considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience leading complex IT services bids and managing high-value opportunities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong project and bid management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent activities, stakeholders, and timelines.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and cross-functional discussions to develop compelling value propositions, winning strategies, and customer-focused solutions.
  • Familiarity with proposal management methodologies, processes, and supporting tools used throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; experience with graphic design or desktop publishing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
  • 10+ years of sales-focused experience within the information technology sector, including leadership experience, team development, and APMP Practitioner certification (or the ability to obtain it).
