We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Deal Execution Manager, Broker Direct. This role can be based out of any of the commercial centres across the UK.

This role plays a vital role in the broker direct team. Once a credit facility is approved, you will take ownership of the transaction—driving it from sanction to drawdown. Acting as a bridge between Relationship Managers, internal credit risk teams, and vital external professionals.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and co-ordinate end-to-end client onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth and compliant set-up process.
  • Oversee the preparation, production, issuance and execution/acceptance of facility and security documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to agreed timelines.
  • Liaise closely with external surveyors and solicitors to progress key workstreams, including valuations, security perfection/registration and the provision of independent legal advice (ILA), resolving issues promptly as they arise.
  • Monitor and evidence fulfilment of all terms of approval/conditions precedent, escalating exceptions and driving actions to closure.
  • Manage drawdown activity, including satisfaction of pre-drawdown requirements, co-ordination of funding instructions and execution of funds transfers in line with internal controls and client requirements.
  • Enable proactive client management by attending client meetings with Relationship Manager as necessary, and acting as the first point of contact for customers during the post approval process.
  • Collaborate with Group colleagues to deliver appropriate needs-based solutions for customers including account opening for New to Bank high value switchers.
  • Work closely with Service Delivery and co-ordinate the end-to-end credit process, review their deliverables and resolve issues.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong customer relationship management skills gained from working within a financial services and ideally within a business banking environment.
  • Proven experience of leading the delivery of excellent customer service is essential.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others and negotiating effectively.
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same.
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
