Deal Origination Executive – Corporate Finance
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, very active Corporate Finance advisory firm in a Deal Origination/Business Development role within their Birmingham office. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to generate and coordinate high-quality deal flow across the business, with a particular focus around the Irish and/or Scottish markets.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Directors and Partners and sector teams, you will be responsible for identifying potential corporate finance opportunities and initiating conversations with senior decision-makers.
- Using a combination of financial news monitoring, business intelligence platforms, highly tuned internal research, and market insight, you will help identify companies where a future corporate finance transaction is likely and secure introductory meetings with key stakeholders.
- You will also prepare detailed briefing materials ahead of meetings to ensure the attending individual is fully informed on the target business, its strategy, and potential transaction drivers.
- As a dedicated deal originator supporting specific sector teams, you will contribute to sector-focused marketing initiatives, participate in team strategy discussions, and work closely with the firm’s research function to build targeted pipelines of prospective clients.

Requirements
- The successful candidate does not necessarily need a background in deal origination/business development within corporate finance. However, you will demonstrate a highly proactive, tenacious, and self-motivated approach, with the confidence and professionalism required to engage with senior executives and business owners.
- Experience in a business to business, business development, sales, research, or relationship-driven role is necessary.
