Mayfair, London

MBR Partners are hiring for a growth-oriented private equity firm based in Mayfair, London, focused exclusively on investing in exceptional UK software, technology-enabled services, and SAAS businesses.

We partner with ambitious founders and management teams to accelerate growth, support strategic expansion, and create long-term value. With a strong track record of investing in founder-led businesses, we are actively deploying capital across the UK lower and mid-market technology sector. To strengthen our proprietary sourcing capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Origination Director to join our investment team. You will work closely with investment professionals and partners across the firm, playing a critical role in identifying, developing, and converting high-quality investment opportunities.

The Role

As a key member of the investment team, you will be responsible for generating a consistent pipeline of proprietary investment opportunities across the UK technology ecosystem, with a particular focus on software, SaaS, fintech, cybersecurity, data, AI, and tech-enabled services businesses.

  • Conduct detailed market mapping of attractive software and technology sub-sectors.
  • Identify founder-owned and entrepreneur-led businesses aligned with the firm's investment strategy.
  • Execute structured, multi-channel outreach campaigns targeting founders, CEOs, and senior management teams.
  • Develop trusted relationships with business owners well before a transaction process begins.
  • Regularly attend industry conferences, networking events, and technology forums across the UK.
  • Maintain a disciplined CRM process to track relationships, opportunities, and engagement history.
  • Leverage modern origination technologies, AI tools, and data platforms to build sourcing advantages.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
