Job Description
As a Deal Origination Principal at Thomas Scott & Co, you will drive buy-side growth by identifying and engaging owners of SMEs with £5m-£50m revenue. Through proactive outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn, you’ll initiate critical conversations that become major M&A deals, building a pipeline of high-value, off-market investment opportunities.

What You Will Do
- Execute aggressive cold outreach campaigns across phone, email, and LinkedIn to connect with owners of SMEs generating £5m-£50m in revenue.
- Qualify off-market acquisition opportunities by understanding business owner motivations and building trust through sophisticated relationship management.
- Manage the early-stage deal pipeline, collaborating closely with private equity firms and strategic acquirers to present viable off-market prospects.
The ideal candidate
- Proven track record in high-activity sales or recruitment roles, with significant experience managing a desk and building a pipeline from zero.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to cold-contact high-level decision-makers and maintain engaging, persuasive conversations.
- Ambitious, "hungry" professional based near Gatwick who is eager to break into the M&A sector and thrives in a results-oriented environment.
