Role Overview
This is a great opportunity for you to become a key member of our Dealership Management Team. An exciting new opportunity has come up here at Birmingham North as we’re on the lookout for a Dealership Accountant to join our dynamic team.
It is the perfect opportunity for a talented individual to advance their career in a premium manufacturer-owned environment. As a dealership accountant, you will be responsible for delivering financial management services to the dealerships including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial controls, and compliance with all Group policies and procedures.
In this role you will also:
- Extend financial management support to staff at all levels, ensuring Company income and expenditure is processed accurately and within set deadlines.
- Provide support and guidance for all financial and accounts-related matters to the Regional Operations Directors and to the dealership management teams within the Region.
- Professionally challenge General Managers on their accounts and results and work with them on implementing innovative solutions and new ways of working.
- Ensure the necessary controls are in place to ensure the commercial actions of the rest of the management team within the dealership are in line with Company policies and procedures.

A Dealership Accountant plays a key part in both the day-to-day operation of the business and its financial governance. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers, managing balance sheet integrity, and ensuring the dealership is fully prepared for month-end reporting.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the role is collaborating with different departments, supporting teams to achieve their objectives, and contributing directly to the overall success of the dealership."

Are you an experienced financial professional with a background in the automotive industry? We're searching for the right candidate to join our team and we're ready to provide training to support your success.
While dealership experience is preferred, it's not a requirement. What matters most is your detailed understanding and application of Motor Trade-specific DMS Platforms and Microsoft Office Tools. If you're familiar with financial management within an automotive context or have related experience, we want to hear from you.
