About the Role

This role sits within a specialist Transaction Tax team that advises corporate and financial investor clients on a broad range of transactions.

The team supports clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, restructuring, and capital market events. Engagements typically involve tax due diligence, transaction structuring, financial modelling, and the assessment of tax risks and opportunities.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams and international colleagues where required, the successful candidate will help clients navigate complex tax considerations across a range of industries and transaction types.

The role offers exposure to high-profile and technically challenging assignments, providing opportunities to develop both technical expertise and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside senior leadership on complex transaction engagements, delivering high-quality tax advice and client service.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and pitching opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with colleagues across wider advisory teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, legal advisers, and internal stakeholders to support efficient project delivery.
  • Prepare and review technical advice covering a range of UK and international tax issues.
  • Analyse tax-related documentation and financial information, identifying key risks, opportunities, and commercial implications.
  • Review and support financial modelling activities, including tax assumptions and transaction scenarios.
  • Prepare and review transaction funding structures, cash flow analyses, and capitalisation models.
  • Support the development and mentoring of junior colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK and international tax developments relevant to transaction activity.
  • Contribute to technical publications, thought leadership initiatives, and internal knowledge-sharing activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
