HIRING RANGE
$125,000 - $130,000
Commensurate with education and experience

ABOUT THIS POSITION
Langston University invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Professions. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer for the School and provides visionary leadership for nursing and allied health education, workforce development, clinical partnerships, student success, accreditation, and community engagement.
The Dean will lead a dynamic and growing academic unit dedicated to preparing highly skilled, compassionate, and culturally responsive healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will advance innovative academic programming, strengthen healthcare partnerships, support student achievement, and position the School as a leader in addressing healthcare workforce shortages across Oklahoma and beyond.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D./Ed.D.
- Earned doctorate in nursing, nursing education, healthcare administration, public health, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years of progressive administrative experience.
- Experience with ACEN, or other nursing accreditation processes.
- Experience leading nursing or allied health programs at an HBCU or public university.
- Demonstrated success in clinical partnership development and healthcare workforce initiatives.
- Experience with grant-funded initiatives, simulation laboratories, online learning, and interprofessional education.
- Evidence of successful fundraising and external engagement.
- Understanding of healthcare workforce trends and rural/community health needs.
- Record of successful teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation, assessment, regulatory compliance, and program administration.
- 10 years of progressive administrative experience.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Current or eligible RN licensure in Oklahoma.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current or eligible RN licensure in Oklahoma.
