Due to increase in demand we are looking for an experienced Debt Adviser and Caseworker to join our busy Money Advice Team and contribute towards the MaPS delivery performance.

As a Debt Adviser and Caseworker working as part of our busy Money Advice team, you will support our diverse local client base to help people manage and deal with their debts.

You will interview clients to gather information about their household and financial situation, combining this with evidence from letters from creditors, bank statements and credit reports to produce an accurate financial statement/budget from which you’ll identify the options available to them, and find ways to increase their income or reduce their expenses.

Once a client has chosen how they would like to move forward, you will support and empower them to work towards achieving this by undertaking casework, acting on their behalf where appropriate, managing a caseload of clients and reviewing progress at regular intervals.

We’re looking for somebody who is organised and methodical in their approach and is self-motivated. The ability to work as part of a team is essential, previous experience of delivering debt advice is required, however a trainee would be considered (Trainee salary rate would apply until accredited).
