Debt Advisory Director/Senior Director
£115,000 to £160,000 plus bonus
At some firms, reaching Partner in Debt Advisory depends less on what you can originate and more on whether somebody above you is prepared to move.
This one is different.
An established national advisory business is adding senior Debt Advisory capability in London. It already has the brand, lender relationships, PE access and wider deal flow. What it needs is another senior adviser who can turn those foundations, alongside their own network, into more mandates.
You won’t be joining as another pair of execution hands.
You’ll originate and lead lower mid-market financing assignments across PE-backed and privately owned businesses, including acquisition finance, refinancing, leveraged lending and other structured debt situations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The opportunity flow is broader than your own contact book. Corporate Finance, restructuring and the wider business all create routes into clients and transactions. Your job is to make more of them, while continuing to build your own relationships across sponsors, lenders, advisers and corporates.
This could suit someone who is already performing at Director or Senior Director level but cannot see a credible next step. It could also suit a senior leveraged finance banker who wants to move into advisory and has the relationships and commercial instinct to build a fee-generating pipeline.
If you are already operating close to Partner level, it is still worth a conversation. The important questions are what you can originate, the market you bring and what you want to build next.
