About this opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Debt Advisory Partner or Director to join our growing Advisory team.
This is a unique opportunity to build on our existing debt advisory offering within one of the UK's fastest-growing accountancy and advisory firms. Working closely with our Corporate Finance, Audit, Tax and Business Advisory teams, you will help clients secure the right funding solutions to support acquisitions, refinancing, growth investment, working capital requirements and business transformation.
As a senior leader within our Advisory practice, you will play a key role in developing market presence, building strategic relationships across the lending community, generating new business opportunities and delivering outstanding outcomes for clients. This role provides the platform to shape a service line, influence firm strategy and make a significant impact on the future growth of our business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing our Debt Advisory proposition.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with banks, alternative lenders, private credit funds and other funding providers.
- Advising clients on debt raising, refinancing, acquisition finance, asset-based lending, structured finance and wider funding solutions.
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities through existing networks and market relationships.
- Working closely with Partners and colleagues across Corporate Finance, Audit, Tax and Business Advisory to deliver joined-up client solutions.
- Leading client pitches, funding negotiations and transaction execution.
- Managing and developing junior team members, providing coaching, guidance and technical expertise.
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and strategic development of the Advisory practice.
- Representing Bishop Fleming within the market through networking, events and thought leadership activity.

What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Significant experience within Debt Advisory, Corporate Banking, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance or a related funding advisory environment.
- Strong relationships across the UK lending market, particularly within the South West and Midlands.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to build credibility with owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies and larger corporate clients.
- Experience of leading client relationships and high quality deal execution.
- A genuine desire to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic and ambitious firm.
