Emerging Markets Debt Capital Markets

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Analyst or Junior Associate to join our Debt Capital Markets (DCM) CEEMEA team.

In this role, you will be directly involved in the origination, structuring, and execution of bond, Sukuk, and liability management transactions for Sovereign, Financial Institution (FIG), and Corporate issuers across Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will work closely with syndicate desks, coverage bankers, M&A, and credit risk teams to deliver market-leading debt financing solutions to our clients in emerging and frontier markets.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities

Origination & Pitching

  • Market Intelligence: Track and analyze macroeconomic developments, credit spreads, yield curves, and market dynamics across the CEEMEA region.
  • Pitch Deck Preparation: Prepare high-quality, client-ready pitchbooks, capital structure analyses, pricing updates, and market commentary.
  • Capital Structure Optimization: Assist senior bankers in identifying funding opportunities for clients across hard currency (USD, EUR) and local currency markets, including ESG/sustainable debt frameworks.

Transaction Execution

  • Execution Management: Support the execution of senior and subordinated bond issuances, Sukuk, and liability management exercises (tender offers, exchange offers).
  • Documentation & Due Diligence: Coordinate with internal/external legal counsel, auditors, rating agencies, and syndicate desks on transaction documentation (prospectuses, offering circulars, investor presentations).
  • Roadshows & Bookbuilding: Organize logistics for virtual and physical deal roadshows; assist syndicate in bookbuilding, pricing, and allocation processes.
  • Financial Modeling: Conduct debt capacity analysis, credit profile assessments, and pricing matrix comparisons.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience within Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Investment Banking (M&A/Leveraged Finance), or Credit Research at a major global bank.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of debt instruments (fixed income, floating rate, hybrid capital), yield curve analysis, and swap math. Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel (financial modeling), and PowerPoint.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional quantitative and credit analysis skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills; ability to present complex market data clearly to C-suite executives and sovereign finance teams.
  • Work Ethic: Strong ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, execution-driven trading floor environment.

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications

  • CEEMEA Regional Knowledge: Direct prior transaction experience covering CEEMEA issuers (Sovereigns, Banks, Corporates, or GREs).
  • Islamic Finance: Familiarity with Sukuk structures (Ijarah, Murabaha, Wakalah) is an advantage.
  • Languages: English speaker with proficiency in Arabic, Turkish, or a regional CEE language is desirable.
  • Certifications: CFA charterholder or progress toward CFA designation is preferred.
