Field Debt Recovery Officer – B2B

£29,000 basic + £5,000 car allowance + uncapped commission. Realistic OTE £45,000–£55,000+

Permanent | Monday–Friday | Fully Field Based | East Midlands Territory

This is NOT a desk-based Credit Control or telephone Collections role. We're looking for an experienced field-based debt recovery professional to manage a territory, visiting business customers face-to-face to resolve outstanding utility debt. You'll spend your working week out on the road, visiting SMEs and speaking directly with business owners and decision-makers.

The Role

  • Visit commercial premises across your territory to recover outstanding B2B utility debt
  • Speak face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers
  • Understand the circumstances behind outstanding balances and find a workable resolution
  • Take payments and negotiate structured repayment plans
  • Re-engage customers where previous telephone/email contact has failed
  • Handle difficult conversations professionally, firmly and fairly
  • Manage your own diary, route planning and caseload across the territory
  • Work autonomously whilst maintaining accurate case records

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Please note

If your experience is solely office-based Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or telephone Collections, this role won't be the right fit.

This is a genuinely field-based role requiring you to travel throughout your territory every day and recover debt through face-to-face conversations with business customers.

Package

  • £29,000 basic
  • £5,000 car allowance
  • Business mileage
  • Uncapped commission
  • Realistic £45,000–£55,000+ earnings for strong performers
  • Monday–Friday
  • Defined geographical territory
  • Full training and ongoing development

If you're already working in field collections, debt recovery, enforcement, revenue protection or warrants and want a role focused on resolution rather than heavy-handed enforcement, we'd like to hear from you.
