Role Overview
The successful applicant will be based in our client's Liverpool Office working with our Enforcement Team. The role is suited to candidates with experience of issuing Part 8 Proceedings and Court Applications.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing a caseload of debt recovery matters, with a particular focus on the recovery of damages, legal costs, disbursements, and other sums due following settlement, judgment, or breach of agreement. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor who enjoys litigation, has strong attention to detail, and is motivated by achieving successful outcomes for clients.

Salary from £40,000+
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of debt recovery and enforcement matters
- Review settlement agreements, judgments, Court Orders, and costs schedules to identify sums due and ensure compliance with agreed payment terms
- Monitor payment deadlines and take prompt action where sums remain unpaid
- Prepare and send appropriate letters before action and formal demands
- Credit Control & enforcement of Legal Damages, Costs, and Disbursements
- Credit Control and negotiation of associated legal fees and expenses
- Issuing Part 8 Proceedings / making enforcement applications
- Preparing N260 schedules
- Liaising with clients, Defendants, Courts, external enforcement agents, and other third parties
- Work to deadlines

Requirements
Our client is looking for a Solicitor who has:
- Previous experience in debt recovery, civil litigation, costs recovery, and enforcement
- Strong knowledge of County Court procedures and civil litigation
- Experience of pursuing unpaid judgments, damages, and costs
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A commercial and pragmatic approach to recovery
- Case Management System experience
