Solicitor – Debt Recovery
Location: Manchester
Salary: Dependent on experience
Experience: Newly Qualified – 3 PQE
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded NQ–3 PQE Solicitor with experience or a strong interest in debt recovery and dispute resolution to join our expanding debt recovery team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a dynamic and forward-thinking firm, handling a varied caseload and working closely with clients to achieve effective commercial outcomes.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of debt recovery matters from initial instruction through to resolution. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of contested and uncontested debt recovery matters.
- Advising clients on recovery strategy and available enforcement options.
- Drafting pre-action correspondence, claims, pleadings and other legal documents.
- Conducting litigation and progressing matters through the County Court.
- Advising on enforcement options and assisting with enforcement proceedings.
- Negotiating settlements and payment arrangements where appropriate.
- Liaising with clients, courts, solicitors, barristers and other third parties.
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently.
- Working to agreed financial and performance targets.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- NQ–3 PQE, with experience in debt recovery, litigation or a related area.
- Commercially aware and focused on achieving practical outcomes for clients.
- Confident managing their own caseload and working to deadlines.
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing environment.
- Keen to develop their technical expertise and build a long-term career with Solaris Law.
